Guided Walks Around Malmesbury 2018

Saturday 19th May – 2:30pm: St Aldhelm’s Fayre Walk: What did St Aldhelm ever do for us?
Saturday 16th June – 2:00pm: Women of Malmesbury. Celebrating 100 years since (some) women ‘got the vote’.
Saturday 28th July – 2:00pm: Malmesbury - Queen of Hilltop Towns – A walk through over 2,000 years: Saints, kings, flying monks, battles, rogues, heroes and heroines – and tigers – around every corner.
Saturday 11th August – 2:00pm: A view of Malmesbury for 4 to 11 year olds (and their hangers on). Includes activities. All the best stories!
Wednesday 15th August – 7:00pm: ‘The Jackdaw’ view of Malmesbury – Some of the history of Malmesbury that doesn’t make the text books – with a focus on Malmesbury’s historic place as ‘the rottenest borough in England’. Finishing at the (in)famous Old White Lion, where suitable refreshments will be available.
Saturday 25th August – 2:00pm: Carnival Walk: ‘999’ Emergency!
Friday 7th September -2:00pm: Malmesbury War Memorials and Graves; the stories behind the names. Part of Heritage Open Day. FREE. Tickets only from Athelstan Museum.
Saturday 8th September – 10:15 pm: Malmesbury War Memorials and Graves; the stories behind the names. Part of HODS. FREE. Tickets only from Athelstan Museum.
Sunday 9th September LIVING TRAIL. 2:00pm to 4:30pm. Malmesbury in the First World War. Fifteen personal stories told at locations around town. Trail Guide with FREE BOOK from Tourist Information Centre at the Town Hall (Available from 1st August).
Sunday 21st October – 10:00am Wessex Week Walk.
Sat 27th October – 4:15pm and 4:45pm. Malmesbury’s Famous Halloween Walk – with a few surprises….

The numbers on each walk are strictly limited. Please buy your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
Each walk is scheduled to last for around 90 minutes and will cover around 1 mile.
